Organ Perfusion and Cellular Services.
Our preservation staff at transplant centers are fully dedicated to that transplant center. They perform preservation pumping for all organs and assist center staff in the recovery, transport (fly outs) and transplant processes (usually as first assist in the transplant procedure). We are essentially a 24/7/365 “turnkey” partner.

Organ Preservation Coordinator-

Description
The Organ Preservation Coordinator oversees organ donor perfusion and organ preservation processes for both thoracic and abdominal organs. Additional duties include first and surgical assisting in the organ recovery process, serving as a part of the intraoperative leadership. This position must have an advanced degree of anatomical knowledge, technical expertise in surgical assisting and the ability to assist the organ recovery surgeon in the removal of donor organs for transplantation.
The Organ Preservation Coordinator works collaboratively with physicians, hospital administrators, nurses, and others involved in the donation and transplant process. Responsibilities include logistical communication during organ recovery, management of supplies, packaging and labeling of organs, operating room set-up, mechanical preservation of organs after recovery and documenting interoperative findings appropriately.
This position’s work schedule is one day on shift (24 hours in length) and off shift for two days (48 hours). They have opportunities to pick up additional shifts if they desire.

Requirements
• Requires completion of a Surgical Technologist, ER Technologist, EMT program, Registered Nurse or previous Organ Preservation and Transplant experience.
• Certification and perioperative background or Certified Transplant Preservation (CTP) preferred (required within 24 months of hire date).
• Two or more years of operating room experience and/or sterile technique required.
