Job Overview
Metcon Ltd. is seeking an experienced Concrete Foreman to lead crews on active construction job sites. This role requires strong leadership, hands-on concrete experience, and the ability to keep projects on schedule while maintaining high safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a crew on concrete job sites
- Oversee footers, walls, slabs, and general sitework
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and grade stakes
- Coordinate with Project Managers, crews, and customers
- Troubleshoot issues in the field and make timely decisions
- Ensure projects stay on schedule and within scope
- Train and develop crew members
- Perform layout, forming, pouring, and finishing work
- Complete daily reports and timekeeping using apps (UKG or similar)
- Maintain a strong focus on safety and OSHA compliance
Requirements
- 3+ years of concrete construction experience (Foreman or lead role preferred)
- Proven ability to supervise crews and enforce accountability
- Strong understanding of construction plans and layouts
- Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus)
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in varying conditions
- Willingness to travel to job sites (1–2+ hours as needed)
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing multiple projects or larger crews
- CDL license
- Background in sitework, excavation, or heavy equipment operation
- Experience with scheduling, materials, and manpower planning
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
