Schedule: Full Time (Monday – Thursday) No Evenings or Weekends
Position Summary
Advanced Dentistry of Dayton is seeking a professional, organized, and customer-focused Front Desk Coordinator to serve as the first point of contact for our patients. This individual plays a vital role in creating an exceptional patient experience by providing outstanding customer service, coordinating daily office operations, managing appointments, and ensuring efficient communication between patients and the clinical team.
The ideal candidate is friendly, detail-oriented, dependable, and thrives in a fast-paced dental environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome patients with a warm, friendly, and professional demeanor.
- Answer incoming phone calls, respond to emails, and assist patients with questions regarding appointments and services.
- Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments while maximizing provider schedules.
- Check patients in and out efficiently while maintaining accurate patient records.
- Verify dental insurance eligibility and obtain necessary authorizations.
- Collect co-pays, deductibles, outstanding balances, and process payments accurately.
- Explain treatment estimates, financial arrangements, and payment options to patients.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Coordinate communication between patients, dentists, hygienists, and clinical staff.
- Manage patient recalls and follow-up appointments.
- Resolve patient concerns professionally while ensuring a positive patient experience.
- Support the practice in achieving patient satisfaction and operational goals.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate degree or administrative certification preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of customer service, administrative, or dental front office experience preferred.
- Previous dental office experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of dental insurance verification and treatment coordination is a plus.
- Experience using dental practice management software.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general computer applications.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
