Pay Rate: $38-$45 Based on Experience
Schedule: Full Time (Monday – Thursday) No Evenings or Weekends
Position Summary
Advanced Dentistry of Dayton is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented, and patient-focused Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our growing team. Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental hygiene assessments and preventive care.
- Complete adult and pediatric prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planning, and periodontal charting.
- Take and interpret digital radiographs in accordance with state regulations.
- Screen patients for oral disease, periodontal conditions, and oral cancer.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, nutrition, and preventive dental care.
- Document patient assessments, treatment provided, and recommendations accurately in the electronic dental record.
- Assist the dentist in developing individualized treatment plans.
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide (if licensed/certified).
- Maintain infection control and sterilization procedures in compliance with OSHA and CDC guidelines.
- Ensure treatment rooms, instruments, and equipment are properly prepared and maintained.
- Build positive relationships that promote patient comfort, trust, and long-term retention.
- Collaborate with dentists and team members to deliver an exceptional patient experience.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in the State of Ohio.
- Graduate of an accredited Dental Hygiene program.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Local anesthesia certification preferred.
- Nitrous oxide monitoring certification preferred.
- Experience with digital radiography and electronic dental records.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
